How much does a website cost?
Our design packages begin at $1500 and usually range up to $2500 depending on length and complexity of the site. Each website begins with an in-depth interview to determine your needs and preferred style It also includes hosting and domain name set up, three rounds of design revisions, back up software set up, anti-hacking software set up, two hours of WordPress training and a customized WordPress training manual. We can also include Google Analytics integration, calendar integration, sermon or podcast integration and more.
What is the timeframe for completing the website?
The average timeframe to complete the website is anywhere between 1-3 months from the start date. Much of this depends on the size of the website, our schedules, how quickly the client responds to requests for approval at certain steps within the process. Website creation is work for BOTH client and designer. You will need to be an active participant in the process. You will need to provide content (writing and pictures). No content? No problem! We can also help write your content and find appropriate stock photography for an additional fee. The best websites are those when both client and designer are invested and work hard.
I already have a domain name. Can I use that?
Yes you can! We can work with you to point the name servers to the right location.
If I need to make changes to my website after it is launched who is responsible for that?
Part of our training process is to teach you how to make basic changes to your website. Need to change your phone number, add a blog post or change your terms of service? We will train you how to do that. If you ever get stuck, feel free to contact us. (Please note: problems that occur with client made changes to their website may incur an hourly fee to fix. This hasn’t happened yet, but we cannot fix websites for free if they have been hacked apart by the client. However, we make sure to train you thoroughly so that this isn’t a problem.)
Who is in charge of security updates?
This can be you. We will teach you how to make these updates. However, if anything goes wrong, we are not responsible for updates and changes you make on your own. Most of our clients choose to purchase our monthly maintenance plan.
What how much does your monthly maintenance plan cost and what does it include?
Our monthly maintenance plan is $45. This includes hosting, WordPress core, WordPress theme and WordPress plug-in updates, a monthly maintanence report emailed to you, the client. In addition, we have backups on our choose host server and an additional back up program should anything go wrong with your website. If something does go wrong, we will do our best to fix it and restore your website in a timely manner.
What is your typical process?
You can find our process here. You get three rounds of revisions that take place in the planning stage. We will create a mock up of your homepage. If you like it, we will proceed to designing the website. If not, we will go back to the drawing board. We are able to do this three times.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, we do. A non-refundable deposit of 50% is due upfront. The remaining 50% is due before the site goes live. Should the client miss their deadlines, they will be rescheduled based on our availability.
Why such a hefty deposit?
Basically, we’ve learned the hard way. First, by investing upfront, your website will become a priority to you. It’s easy to spend life putting out fires. Unfortunately, things needed for a successful organization, such as a great website, get put on the back burner. Putting money down helps our clients become motivated to keep to the time table agreed upon by designer and client. Second it covers our cost of lost business should you not follow the mutually agreed upon timeline. When we are working with you, that means our other clients are waiting.
